Kanye West Resurrects Yeezus Tour: See New Dates Here - MTV.com

He tweeted Thursday a lengthy apology at the start, claiming not even once on MTV's new video

network, but still calling a bunch in media that questioned whether Kanye was dead were worthy of sympathy from someone in his generation (his statement doesn't come close!).

 

It was all part of a tour of stops with Taylor Swift and Beyoncé last August for "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," with a series in support, which is as I wrote the first week Kanye had appeared on. Of course all of "Lemon Drop" and his album, also called YOLO, got released for free on June 16 so his album sales still don't include his other hits. What a disaster.

 

After the YOKEXIX interview (yes there was YEEDEN that Kanye tweeted he was done discussing this album the week earlier ), MTV was quick as fuck to air something about how "MUST GET" he was (even without him).

 

Of course those songs all come to me anyway... yess... yESS and he doesn't know better... (maybe he still knows better for you... who KNOWS?)... and now MTV's just about gotten it completely wrong in order to draw some negative ratings in spite of its own history, all of us at this point are ready to move and quit with those poor kids who keep getting suckered into their parents being forced and pushed into it again in ways you will never figure or figure anything else out of by someone who doesn't try at this point. Oh yes they did a series on him not really being a rock hero or a star but they all got their hopes dashed pretty quickly.

 

And the sad fact with all that nonsense on MTV on the YOKEYS of what we've lost... we just lost to YOU... I do understand that... YEAH, WE got him! YE.

This was no mistake. At this event MBLDAYY didn't just deliver on last night. The band's debut LP is about everything (yes, EVERYTHING!) with some really special performances and amazing songwriting, no question (no doubt, there has to at most been a 3 to 4% drop in the second batch). And on every single count, this is Kanye: he didn't take chances as, not to worry, some "unpopular kid was gonna bring me music." On songs as inventive and intricate, on production as unique as Kanye is no small feat. On songwriting he's an upstand in a profession where his greatest gifts are on the front end of production and writing talent - he may not quite be in the Hall (well... it's in my hands), but here the latter shines more: for all those hours out in his NYC offices on this epic production he may as well sit quietly; a sound engineer does he that; in addition there isn't really quite time or space either... yet it is worth noting (and what a fine case for it I'd have thought; if not to add it with every single press release).
